Preparation Method:
3,4-Dimethoxyaniline hydrochloride can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. p-methoxyaniline reacts with formaldehyde in the presence of sodium hydroxide to generate p-methoxybenzylidene amine.
2. p-methoxybenzylidene amine reacts with iodomethane under alkaline conditions to generate 3,4-dimethoxyaniline.
3. finally, 3,4-dimethoxyaniline was reacted with hydrochloric acid to obtain 3,4-dimethoxyaniline hydrochloride.
